The Future with Us

The film focuses on traditional Chinese opera, Tai Chi, calligraphy, embroidery and other intangible cultural heritage, explores the inheritance dilemma in modern society, and thinks about how to balance the development of traditional culture and future technology. The film begins with a candle, which symbolizes the origin of civilization, reflecting the characters in intact traditional costumes, which is in sharp contrast with the dilapidated urban background. Although traditional culture has faded out of the mainstream vision, its spirit is still sticking. However, in the face of the wave of technological development, traditional culture gradually compromised and was eventually replaced by emotionless technology. The picture is gradually compressed and presents a sense of suffocation, which directly expresses that traditional culture has disappeared in the torrent of technology.
