TIC TIC ROCK by Martin Huisman

Set against the backdrop of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the video documents what spectacle looks like from inside the scroll. Not the goals, but the gap between them. Not the players, but the infrastructure of attention that surrounds them, fictional sponsors, pseudo-code subtitles, a battery percentage counting down from 93% to 2%. The subject is human behavior that has learned to resemble a process. *Deslizo sin pensar,* I scroll without thinking. The World Cup is the occasion. The phone is the frame. The scroll is the condition. Built almost entirely from AI-generated shots, the three screens, the figures, the environments , constructed to mirror the aesthetics of the platforms they inhabit: compressed, saturated, endlessly looping. The song is in Spanish, sung from somewhere between instinct and automation, where most of us actually live. "Tic Toc Rock" doesn't editorialize. It documents. The mechanism is the message.
