The Absconder

He sent me an image of absurdity—a rabbit in a banana suit. Okay, always down for a dare, a destiny. The Absconder doesn’t look like the image, at all. (Or maybe it does in another dimension?) It does have the same energy though: unpredictable, hilarious, and just slightly unhinged. Six weeks. 200+ frames. A skater rabbit tearing through the streets of NYC, dodging trouble, carving chaos, and weaving through a city that never slows down. It’s fast, it’s funny, and it’s got that eclectic pulse of a friend’s wild imagination—a friend who is kind, humble, and giving, the kind of person who sparks ideas that take on a life of their own. Does this animated short do the original challenge justice? Only time will tell.
