Door to Tomorrow

A man discovers "The Door to Tomorrow" and, through the door, encounters the time he has always dreamed of. However, the man... is already in his old age. Kang Dae-soo (46, male) struggles to get through each day. After another late night at work, he heads home. On his way, he comes across "The Door to Tomorrow" blocking his path. Out of curiosity, he enters the door… Inside, he sees a scene that is exactly what he has always dreamed of—a world he has longed for. Just as he tries to slowly savor this place, he is startled to see his own reflection in the water—he has grown old. Shocked, he turns around and looks at the words written on the back of the door he entered: "Carpe diem—Enjoy the present!" A mystery thriller drama that metaphorically criticizes the paradoxical reality of our generation, who endure the hardships of the present by constantly thinking about tomorrow. This is achieved through the use of the "door" as a device representing time. "Could it be that living in the present is actually my true life?" ***Double meaning of the title: If you turn the "T" in "Tomorrow" upwards, it becomes a cross—a symbol of death.
