Xbox Going Down The Sega Route?

Former PlayStation executive Shawn Layden believes that Microsoft multi platform plan can work, though maybe by following the Sega route. Sega who went multi platform, went software soon after. Could Xbox be ramping down console production and focus solely on Game Pass in the coming years?
