Ubisoft's Newest Game?

Ubisoft newest project, codenamed Alterra, appears to be a social-sim using voxel creation. The gameplay loop according to sources is similar to that of Animal Crossing mixed with Minecraft, where players will build a village of interactable NPCs before heading out to different biomes for unique resources. The game is currently 18 months in development and according to the LinkedIn of the project lead producer is considered a next-gen project. Does this game have any chance to restore faith in Ubisoft?
