Should DLC Be Allowed to Win Game of the Year?

The Game Awards has made the controversial decision to allow DLC, Seasons, and Remake/Remasters to be eligible for the Game of the Year category. Elden Rings DLC Shadow of the Erdtree and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth were both announced as finalist for Game of the Year today.
