PlayStation Rewards Fans Following Outage!

PlayStation which suffered a 24 hour outage of PlayStation Network over the weekend has announced that all PlayStation Plus members will receive 5 days of additional service. While Sony only stated the outage was due to operational issues, the service is back up and running now. Though with all games requiring internet connection these days, does five days of free service make up for a whole day with your PlayStation as a paper weight?
