Next Mass Effect Still Years Away?

BioWare gave a studio update for the next chapter of BioWare including the upcoming Mass Effect game. BioWare confirmed that the next Mass Effect is underway however the company said that some colleagues have been reassigned to open roles elsewhere within EA. With a smaller team and development just seemingly underway, how many years until we see another Mass Effect?
