Metal Gear Solid producer Noriaki Okamura, revealed that one of the main reasons behind the up coming MGS 3 remake. Okamura said that Konami felt it was their duty to make sure that Metal Gear series lives on for future generations as younger gamers just are not familiar with the franchise anymore.
