FromSoftware Joining Sony?

Sony has confirmed a report from earlier this year that they do have intention to purchase Kadokawa the parent company and majority owner of FromSoftware. Interestingly it appears that it was Kadokawa who reached out to Sony about the acquisition according to the latest reports not the other way around as fans have speculated. If FromSoft becomes a branch of Sony what could it mean for the their future games?
