Frogs Today WBB Postgame On Location in Kansas City I Big12 Tournament Championship

With consecutive regular season back to back Big12 titles taken care of, the Frogs look to do the same in the Big12 Tournament but have to get past No. 15 West Virginia to cut down the nets. The teams have played twice in each of the last 2 regular seasons with the Frogs coming away with wins in each of them. Tonight it was No.1 vs No. 2 and the first half was a back and forth affair with the Frogs holding a good lead midway through the second quarter. West Virginia went on a 7-0 run to close the first half, taking a 29-23 lead and stormed into the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Frogs 17-9. Fighting back to within 2 possessions with 38 seconds remaining in the final quarter, the Frogs would fall in the championship game 62-53 ending their back to back tournament championship quest and their 30th win on the season. WBB March Madness Selection Show is next one Sunday, March 15th at 7pm. The Frogs are guaranteed to host the first 2 rounds but then they either stay in Fort Worth or head west to Sacramento for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. The Final Four is in Phoenix on April 3rd and 5th.
