Beyond Good and Evil 2: Development Hell?

Following yesterday's announcement that some of the Prince of Persia team has shifted to development of Beyond Good and Evil 2, a report from Kotaku says the game has hit an internal milestone. The games first trailer was back in 2008, but nothing has been shown on the game since a re-release trailer aired in 2017.
