Shitty Boyfriends - Season 1

E01: Love at First Sight

It’s Valentine’s Day and Amanda is alone. At the office, Lyric is being flooded with gifts from her boyfriend. 
 Amanda reminisces about Brad — who is at the center of the worst Valentine’s Day she’s ever had.

E02: Better of Alone

Ready to make some magic happen in her life, Amanda signs up for magic classes and is surprised to 
 meet a charming young man in the class. She decides to "go with the flow." In a whirlwind night, she winds 
 up finding herself in a "relationship" with a guy in only 24 hours.

E03: The Moment Bless Him

Amanda meets Tom, a genuine, happy man and a vegan. He’s not an annoying vegan, either. He isn’t interested 
 in converting anyone; he just knows he’s never ever felt better. He’s mellow, happy, and magically NEVER ANGRY. 
 Amanda thinks this is exactly what she needs to counterbalance her gloomy overthinking, but she’ll learn that 
 even happy vegans have a dark side.

E04: Know Your Limitations

Richard is an older, all-around guy's guy who Amanda met online. A history buff and foodie, he’s extremely confident, 
 a quality Amanda finds even more attractive in light of his ability to pull off sweater vests. But Amanda soon begins to 
 realize that Richard is more interested in schooling her than being her partner, and that he might not appreciate her for 
 who she already is.

E05: Friends First

After her artwork is rejected by Kathy, Amanda finds herself crying in the copy room alone. She’s surprised when her 
 annoying coworker Braden shows up to comfort her. He even takes Amanda out for drinks after work, and she starts 
 to see a different side of him. Is Amanda falling for someone who might be off-limits?

E06: A New Hope

Sitting in the waiting room of her gynecologist’s office, Amanda meets Tony, a cute and a charming guy 
 who Amanda deflects — she believes he’s there with his girlfriend. Turns out, he’s there with his grandmother 
 and Amanda is able to get his information before he leaves. Is Amanda’s luck finally changing?

E07: Judgement Day

Things are going great with Tony, but unfortunately, not so much at work. Amanda has missed her deadline, 
 Kathy is pissed, and now Lyric is mad at her, too. After taking her frustrations out on Tony, Amanda finds herself alone once again.

E08: Return of the King

Upset over how she treated Tony, Amanda draws up a comic called “7 Cliched Steps For White Girls Looking For Love.” 
 Braden sees it and asks if he can have the comic. Amanda, who was going to shred it, gives it to him. The next day, she’s woken up 
 by a call from Kathy. Her comic went viral after Braden posted it online. Suddenly, there’s a knock on her door. It’s Tony — and 
 he’s seen her comic. It’s time for Amanda to decide her destiny.

The series follows Amanda, a cartoonist who attempts to juggle her two passions – creating an artistic legacy that might change the world, and finding true love. However, things haven’t been coming together so easily for her. Instead of spending time drawing her increasingly popular comic, she can’t help but talk about shitty guys. And draw about shitty guys. And just date shitty guys. Even if they aren’t always overtly shitty themselves, something weird just always seems to happen. Her own life doesn’t even pass the Bechdel test! Amanda seeks the advice of her close-knit group of friends. who always see the untapped potential in Amanda and encourage her to not only believe she can “have it all,” but to learn the lessons about boundaries, self-respect, and self-love in order to do so.
